WOODBURY — At Nonnewaug, there is a wide variety of cars and people who drive them. One of those people is Nora Buckley, who owns a 2013 Hyundai Accent.

Buckley was somewhat gifted with this car, as she only paid half the price, $3,500, in Watertown. She was upset with her car at first.

“This is a downgrade from my mom’s car; I have hit rock bottom,” Buckley recalled about her first impressions of the car.

Buckley’s car may not look fast, but it sure does move.

“It’s fair enough, and gets me where I need to go at a good price,” Buckley said.

This story took a sad turn and may hit deep.

“The farthest I have ever gone in this car is to [John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York] to pick up my dying grandfather to spend as much time with him as I could,” Buckley said.

This was heartbreaking to hear and really shows how much emotion is packed in these vehicles.

When you’re at Nonnewaug, make sure to stop and glance at Nora’s car.
