WOODBURY — Trick or Treat Street returned Oct. 23 from 5-8 p.m. Several Nonnewaug school clubs and teams set up their themed areas each with their own decor and themes, ranging from witchcraft to the Little Mermaid to the Lorax.

Each area had fun games and activities to play that fit in with the theme. The purpose of Trick or Treat Street is to entertain children and make sure everyone gets their share of candy in a safe environment, while each of the school’s clubs has fun putting something together.

The clubs all displayed their creativity and interest in helping out the community. They worked as a team to create a night full of fun for the children and their parents.

“Everyone did great work. Between all the clubs, there’s going to be some serious competition over who had the best theme,” Freshman Class Council advisor Jamie Lisevick said to her group as the event wrapped up.

“I’ve walked almost the whole street with my kids, and there are definitely some cool ideas out there,” a father of two energetic children commented.

One of the man’s small children dressed as a robot talked about his time at Trick or Treat Street with a smile on his face.

He exclaimed, “I got so much candy from all the big kids!”
