MINI-DOC: Sports Fans Love to Debate

Sports are always ripe for debate.

WOODBURY — Who’s the best football player of all time? Would Steph Curry’s Warriors beat Michael Jordan’s Bulls? Which sport is toughest to play?

Sports fans love to debate, but why? Is it the adrenaline rush? Do they like proving their friends wrong? Or is there something more psychological to it? And how do you win a sports debate?

Scott Meyer is a sophomore from Woodbury who is in his first year writing for the Chief Advocate. He is a big sports fan and likes history. Scott is originally from Rocky Hill, and he has a little brother currently in seventh grade. He spent the previous school year in remote learning. He hopes to write great stories for the NHS Chief Advocate and have good interviews, as well as having his stories on the trending stories. While he hopes to cover mostly sports topics, he might cover other topics as well.
