WATERTOWN — When Catherine Wolko’s father responded to a newspaper advertisement offering free bees decades ago, nobody could have imagined that she would one day operate a thriving honey business.

The Humble Bee Honey Company, headquartered at the Old Pin Shop in Oakville, has offered fresh honey since 2010. Wolko expanded her business during the pandemic by opening the physical location. Honey isn’t the only thing the business is known for, either. The company now offers lotions, lip balms, spices, and more.
