NHS Greenhouse Students Gather Goods for the May Plant Sale (PHOTOS)

NHS’ Greenhouse Plant Production, a UConn ECE course taught by Eric Birkenberger, has been busy cultivating an array of plantings in preparation for its public plant sale on May 11.

WOODBURY — The Woodbury FFA Spring Plant Sale is one of the program’s biggest and most anticipated events of the year, and preparation for the sale begins months in advance.

This year’s sale will be Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Students in Nonnewaug’s greenhouse plant production course began preparing for the event earlier this spring. The sale coincides with Mother’s Day weekend.
