WOODBURY — Nonnewaug French students experienced from May 3-5 the historical city of Quebec, Canada.
Having planned and chaperoned trips to Canada many times before, Nonnewaug French teacher Kate Peterson made sure that the trip was packed full of exciting activities, and unforgettable experiences.
“I wanted to share this incredible village with my students, beyond belief, and it was all just carpe diem,” Peterson said. “I wanted to seize every moment and fill every moment with something that was just extraordinary.”
Sophomore Anna Crocker, who attended the field trip, describes what impacted her most during the trip.
“Going to Quebec made me want to travel to other parts of the world,” Crocker said, “and experience other cultures that are different from ours. I was surrounded by French 24/7 the whole trip, and visiting places like the waterfall [Montmorency Falls] and the mall [Galeries de la Capitale] made it a really fun trip.”
