15-year-old Chester Carruthers went missing on Aug. 13, 1976 in Harrison, Maine. His body was found five years later just a quarter-mile from his house. He had been shot in the head, and his body was only discovered because a neighbor’s pet dog was found carrying his skull. His case is still cold decades later, and there are barely any stories about him on the internet.
