Rose, Goldman NHS’ September Athletes of the Month

The Chief Advocate’s editorial staff has selected freshman boys soccer player Vincenzo Rose and junior girls soccer player Hailey Goldman as Nonnewaug’s Athletes of the Month for September.

Rose has given the Chiefs plenty of scoring during his rookie season, including a pair of hat tricks Sept. 4 against Terryville and Sept. 17 against Thomaston. He’s helped Nonnewaug into the Berkshire League title race.

Goldman is Nonnewaug’s leading scorer with 12 goals through 13 games, including four against Lakeview on Sept. 10. She and others have the Chiefs in position to qualify for the Berkshire League semifinals.
