The Chief Advocate’s editorial staff has selected sophomore boys cross country runner Luke Lodice and senior volleyball player Emma Jackson as Nonnewaug’s Athletes of the Month for October.
Lodice finished fourth at the Berkshire League cross country championships and sixth at the Class M state championships, earning him honors as a BL First-Team All-Star and an All-State selection.
Jackson led the Chiefs to their first BL volleyball championship since 2019, posting an unbeaten record during the regular season and winning the league tournament. She was a BL First-Team All-Star and finished the season by becoming the first player in program history to reach 1,000 career assists, 493 of which came this season.
