The Chief Advocate’s editorial staff has selected freshman baseball player Owen Hustek and freshman softball player Gianna DeLorenzo as Nonnewaug’s Athletes of the Month for April.
Hustek, a freshman catcher, averaged .467 with 14 RBI, 12 runs, two doubles, and two triples throughout April while catching almost every inning of the month.
DeLorenzo, a freshman third baseman, averaged .641 with 37 RBI, 22 runs, seven home runs, four doubles and five triples in April, leading the Chiefs to a perfect start to the season.
