WOODBURY – Diversity is no stranger to Nonnewaug High School, especially when it comes to the vehicles that the students drive on a daily basis. From high lifted trucks, to low riding sports cars, every student at Nonnewaug drives something that represents them. In the photos presented, examples are all around of the top rides at Nonnewaug High School.
At Nonnewaug High School, one of the most common types of vehicles that you will find is the classic pick up truck. In fact, there is even an entire parking lot dedicated to them because there are so many. These trucks often are modified with rugged decals, oversized tires, and custom exhausts. These modifications are a testament to the hardworking, outdoor-loving spirit of many Nonnewaug students.
On the other side of things, those visiting campus will find sleek sporty cars rolling into the school’s parking lot in the morning. Cars like Mustangs, Subarus, and even a few convertibles are no stranger to the Nonnewaug High School parking lot.
Though, sports cars and trucks aren’t all that define Nonnewaug High School. Many students drive your average sedan or SUV trying to balance academics, extracurriculars, and even part time jobs. Many of these cars often include bumper stickers or custom designs to show off the personality of the person operating it.
Then are the hidden gems that spark curiosity: The restored Volkswagen Beetle, or the rugged Jeep Wrangler ready for offroading adventures. All cars contribute to the parking lot culture of Nonnewaug High School.
