WOODBURY – As fall’s sports begin to wind down and the temperature outside starts to drop even more, the heat for winter sports begins to rise.
The new season means a lot of athletes from all walks of sports are beginning to prepare for the winter season. These athletes include sports players and coaches from basketball, wrestling, and indoor track. Training begins and some will rise and some will reach new heights: many have predictions for how they will do following a new stretch in Nonnewaug School sports. Some still continue their other sports in the fall as some people like Sean Crawford who plays football and does wrestling.
This podcast also covers basketball with players like Joey Boyne, and indoor track players such as Brayden Whipple, as these sports are at the peak of competitiveness this year around with new additions to the squad.
Coaches are arguably the most important part of a team so we will interview Deb Flatherty of the indoor track team to round out our podcast. These players and coaches spend an incredible amount of time perfecting their craft throughout their off–season and also throughout the other seasons that they continue to play or they coach.
