WOODBURY – As the 2025 season came to an end, so did a show loved by many, Stranger Things, with the last season coming out throughout winter break. This season of Stranger Things is different from others being that it’s the last season of the entire show and it spreads a lot of emotion through many of the people watching it. Many people think of this show as their childhood as it came out in 2016, 10 years ago.
Although this was the last season, many people had disagreements about whether this season was a fitting end to the decade of drama directed by the Duffer Brothers.
“I thought the first installment was probably the best,” said Marisa Holtman, an English teacher at NHS after watching the most recent season. “The last episode was the second best installment.”
For many viewers like Marisa Holtman, there were many elements that made the show successful.

“I thought they tied everything together really nicely which is ultimately what we want from a show like this but I felt some of the plot lines dragged on in the finale,” Holtman said.
Although some people have positive thoughts about the new Stranger Things season, some people have mixed opinions.
“Because they left so much out, it felt like there was a lot missing and it was rushed,” said senior Brynn Clampett. “But I felt like the ending was still really good and they connected it back to previous seasons really well.”
Since this season was the last, there was a lot of emotion through the viewers within the new season.
“There were a lot of heartfelt moments, and the way they talked about their future lined up so well with the people they were,” says Clampett.
On the other hand, Kelly Nichols of the English department, says she was disappointed with the ending.
“I thought they played it too safe. It was kind of predictable and I was hoping it was cool at the end,” Nichols said. “They could have made it more interesting and added a plot twist.”
For the cast and writers of this cultural phenomenon, what’s next is a bit uncertain, though there have been rumblings of a potential single episode that would bring closure to millions of fans who have felt a special connection to a group of kids from Hawkins, Indiana.
