Herman, Hedrei NHS’ December Athletes of the Month

The Chief Advocate’s editorial staff has selected junior basketball player Brady Herman and freshman basketball player Gemma Hedrei as Nonnewaug’s Athletes of the Month for December.

Herman led the Chiefs to a win against Brookfield with 21 points. He scored 26 points in a win against Lakeview and 22 points in a victory over Terryville, helping Nonnewaug get off to a 3-1 start.

Hedrei has led the NHS girls basketball team in scoring with 12 points vs. Oxford, 21 points vs. Bethel, and 16 points in a win over Terryville.

Students arrived back from winter break to see gold streamers and new signs, all advertising the opening of the new Writing Center at Nonnewaug.
