Graduation is set for Saturday, June 15th at 10:30. Following NHS tradition, the ceremony will be held outside with a rain date for Sunday, June 16th.

WOODBURY — From the agricultural mechanics shop of Nonnewaug High School comes the second episode of Junkyard Jibber Jabber. On the second episode, the guys discussed the upcoming tractor pull season and brought in special guest Scott Meyer.

Junkyard Jibber Jabber is hosted by T.J. Butkus, Devon Zapatka, Noah Zupan, and Milon Griswold. The guys take a sit-down approach to tools, cars, and the ever-changing world of mechanical devices. The looks to walk through their experiences and opinions on mechanics-related topics while discussing the news about the automotive industry.

Devon Zapatka is a senior editor at the Nonnewaug Chief Advocate who reports on sports and ag/FFA news. Devon is from Oakville. His accolades include being the 2023 state champion for the Connecticut FFA Mechanics competition, a member of the Woodbury FFA Timber Team, a previous member of livestock showing teams and member of several FFA committees, an avid soccer athlete for both Nonnewaug along with a club, and a student studying in the field of aquaculture through the FFA. Devon hopes to attend college and blend engineering with hydroponic and aquaponic farming while still being able to compete in soccer.

Noah Zupan is a sophomore at NHS and is a writer for the NHS Chief Advocate. He is from Seymour and is a part of the ag program. As a staff writer, Noah likes to write about the ag program and the outdoors.
