WOODBURY–Tattoos are all over Nonnewaug High School and have become more common among the students and teachers. Tattoos are often used as a form of self-expression, such as representing important memories and interests. They may also show display creativity with custom designs and meaningful pieces. While tattoos are still seen differently throughout the school, they’re starting to become more accepted as part of the student body and staff.
Selma Dedovic has a tattoo of a semicolon on her forearm. Dedovic explained that she got it for its meaning and personal siginificance.
