WOODBURY — The Nonnewaug Drama Club will once again hit the stage as this spring’s performance will bring the acclaimed children’s fairytale Princess and the Pea to life in comedy form with the production of Once Upon a Mattress.

The show will feature several senior members who will be performing in what will be the final show of their high school tenure. The show will open April 11 and close the curtain for the semester April 13.

The group is headed by director Catherine Pelkey, who has led NHS drama for multiple years, coming off of a successful fall show that headlined Radium Girls, a play rooted in Waterbury’s rich history of watch making.

This year’s group is led by senior lead Gianna Ruby-DaSilva with a veteran supporting cast featuring fellow seniors Enzo Pamplona, Almi Morales, Talan Wilkas, Campbell Bologna, and Faith Lally.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the on-campus box office prior to each show.
